The Coolpad Note 5 Lite does have an affordable price tag attach too it, but if you compare it to the Redmi 3S you can see that it becomes less attractive. The Redmi 3S Prime sells for ₹ 8,999 which is just ₹800 more than the Redmi 3s Prime.
The Redmi 3s Prime gives you in return for that extra: a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, which is more powerful than the Note 5 Lite with Octa-core processor vs Quad-core of the Note 5 Lite, with 1.4GHz clock speed compared to 1.0GHz and it has a more powerful graphics processor. It's microSD card support up to 256G, less limited than the Note 5 Lite 64GB limit and it doubles the internal capacity as well, you get 32GB instead of 16GB. The RAM is the same, 3GB.
The Redmi 3S Prime comes with a 13MP f/2.0 aperture lens camera with phase-detection. The Note 5 Lite rear camera has a slower f/2.2 lens and lacks phase-detection AF. The Redmi 3s Prime also has support for more 3G and 4G LTE bands than the Note 5 Lite. Even the battery is much better. The Redmi 3S comes with a huge 4100mAh battery compared to only 2500mAh of the Coolpad's.
Just keep in mind that the Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime was release in August 2016, whether the Coolpad Note 5 Lite will be released in Match 2017 (wasn't released as of the time of writing). This just shows how much behind the Coolpad Note 5 Lite is compared to some other entry-level devices. I personally also like the Redmi 3S Prime design better, sleeker and just better looking mobile phone. The Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime is not the only device that has better specs and has very close price tag to the Coolpad Note 5 Lite. All that I'm saying that considering its price tag and what the competitors has to offer, the Note 5 Lite isn't that attractive.
I didn't even mentioned the smaller size and the better performing camera. At least from the camera sample that I've seen so far shot with the Coolpad Note 5 Lite, there is nothing to get excited about either. The Coolpad Note 5 Lite might have been more attractive with a cheaper price, but at its current price point, I don't see it as an attractive offering at all. Both of these phones are sold in India, so if you live in India, you should certainly consider the other alternatives budget phones as well, like the Redmi 3S Prime for example. So the point is that there are better alternatives at this price point. This put the Note 5 Lite in an inconvenient place which make it less attractive when compared to the competition, which is in this particular comparison, versus the Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime phone.
