Fingerprint sensor improves security and provides fast way to unlock your phone

The Archos 55 Graphite comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint reader, which can unlock your phone in less than 0.3sec. This improved usability and of course helps prevent unauthorized access to your private data stored on your phone.

2.5D curved edges give the phone a sleeker look

I didn't find the design really interesting, in fact it's quite boring, but the 2.5D curved edges at the front does give the phone a more modern and sleek look.

Disappointing HD resolution, considering the large screen size

I'm disappointed to see that the better version, the 55 Graphite (compared to the Graphite 50), comes with a 720p/HD resolution. A full HD would be a better fit for a camera-oriented device like this that comes with a large 5.5" display.

Slim profile, only 7.8mm thick

It's not the slimmest out there of course, but it's slim enough to give this large 5.5-inch smartphone a sleek looking look and feel.
