It's great for travelers who want to quickly charge the battery while traveling on train, eating in a restaurant and just charge it wherever possible and still get a good charge that can last for a few hours of usage.

Just for general knowledge, Qualcomm also announced Quick Charge 4 in November 2016, that can charge your phone even faster and can give you 5 hours worth of battery life in just 5 minutes of charge or 0 to 50% charge in 15 minutes (charging a 2750mAh battery as mentioned in the press release). This technology will be available in the upcoming Snapdragon 835 processor, so if fast battery technology is really important for you, you probably want to check out the phones that do support this new technology, but the Zenfone AR uses the previous Quick Charge 3.0 version, not the new 4.0 one.
