The Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 comes with a 16MP f/1.9 rear camera. I really tried hard to locate the exact sensor model , but I couldn't find any information. So regardless of the specific model, I wanted to know how good the image quality is. According to samsung.com website Malaysia, the phone price...

Both of the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) cameras, there rear and the front, feature a fast f/1.9 aperture lenses. We usually get to have a fast aperture lens only for the main camera at the back of the phone and an inferior setup at the front. This is not the case here, and for you this means that both...

The Galaxy A7 has a microSD memory card slot which allows users to expand over the built-in storage (32GB), but it's limited to cards up to 256GB.

It's quite disappointing to see that the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) comes only in a 32GB storage capacity variation. For a Rs. 28,700 (~$420 USD), I would have expected Samsung to add maybe one more storage variation to the lineup, like a 64GB version at least. That being said, if you compare it to...

According to gsm arena specs, the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 back panel. I assume this is right because the A7 does feature a 3D glass back according to the press release, so I assume Samsung took some measured to protect the phone by using a hardened material, and...

The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) feature an Always On display. This is not a new technology, but it's great to see it in the A-series. An Always On Display means that you get to see the time, how much battery percentage is left and calendar without having the need to wake up the phone from it's standby...

The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) features a very large 5.7-inch display. The difference between 5.5-inch and 5.7-inch isn't significant. If we compare the Galaxy A7 2017 model to the A7 2016 model, the 2016 model has a 5.5" screen size and the same screen resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. Because both...

The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) is available in four different color options, including Black Sky, Gold Sand, Blue Mist and Peach Cloud. It's nice to have a large selection of colors to choose from. By the way, all of the newly announced 2017 version of the A3, A5 and the A7 - all are available in the...

You know, sometimes I just hate the a phone being called stylish where it just carries the same old, boring, uninvolving and lackluster design over and over from previous model and the same goes to the Samsung Galaxy A7. It's nice that it's available in three difference colors, but the phone itself...

Comes with Android 6.0.16 Marshmallow, not Android Nougat

Unfortunately, the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) doesn't come with Android 7.0 Nougat. It's an update over the Lollipop of the A7 (2016), but I'm sure many would have liked to see the latest version of Android on this phone.

With the new Galaxy A7 2017 model, Samsung went with a USB-C reversible connector instead of a microUSB 2.0 of its predecessor, the A7 (2016).

3600mAh high-capacity battery

Thanks to its larger size, Samsung packed a large 3600mAh battery, which should allow you to use the phone for a longer period of time and it's 300mAh more compare to the A7 2016 model.
