Slow-mo video recording up to 960fps

Great to have 960fps but it is limited to 720p. You have 120fps/240fps options as well.

The Honor View 20 rear facing camera uses a brand new Sony IMX586 image sensor which is 1/2-in in size featuring 0.8-micron pixels and 48MP pixel resolution. This brand new sensor is the same technology used with the renowned Huawei P20 Pro. According to what I've read, this new IMX 586 Quad-Bayer...

High-res selfie images

The Honor View 20 features high-resolution 25MP f/2.0 front camera, which means that you can take selfie shot with very high resolution.

Pixel binning camera

Pixel binning means that although the camera features a 48-megapixel sensor, it can produce low-resolution images with each pixel of the final made of several physical pixels, producing better image quality.

The main camera lacks an optical image stabilization system (OIS). For videos, Artifical Image Stabilization (AIS) and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) should do the trick, but for stills, not having OIS is a disappointment. Even in the Huawei P20 Pro, when you zoom in using 3x or 5x times...

No wide or zoomed rear lenses

We already got used to having either an ultra-wide or high focal length (zoom) extra lens, here you get neither, which is kind of disappointing.

Beautiful edge-to-edge display

The honor View 20 features a stunning edge-to-edge display with no notch at the top, just a pinch camera hole at the top left, making users enjoy a full-screen experience.

Very high-resolution display

The Honor View 20 features a 1080-by-2310 pixel high-resolution display, which is great considering its 6.4-inch display, which leads to high 398ppi pixel density.

Higher power reduction due to lack of OLED

Tech websites reported greater power consumption compared to competing devices (even compared to the Huawei Mate 20) due to the LCD display. This means in real-world use, the Honor View 20 power efficiency isn't great.

Uses LCD, not an OLED display

Kind of a bummer if you ask me, OLED produces more striking colors and has true blacks (turned off pixels), even the brightness of the Honor View 20 when viewed in an angle isn't that great, a shortfall no doubt.

Unique and beautiful looking back

The back of the phone looks really unique and interesting, like abstract arrows pointing down, looks really cool.

Many users might not like the design

Huawei has decided to go with a really prominent and unique rear design for its Honor View 20 phone. The problem is that there might be many users who wouldn't like it and might prefer skipping it because of that.

No water resistance

This is quite unfortunate that the honor View 20 as a flagship phone doesn't have water resistance, even my OnePlus 6 has some degree of water resistance, although it's not IP certified either but at least something.

Still got a headphone jack

Great to see a 3.5mm headphone jack still there and Honor not dropping it off. Many people prefer having this connector than relying on wireless headphones or USB-C ones (although there are USB-C cables with a headphone connector).

Good battery capacity 4000mAh

The Honor View 20 features a 4000mAh battery capacity, which is a good capacity for a large-screen phablet.
