The Ultra Snapshot is such a fantastic feature. As an enthusiast photographer, I like to shoot a lot. However, it happens so many times with my iPhone that I lose a shot because it takes time until I swipe up and push the camera button, and then the app needs to load and then I need to press the shutter to capture the shot. I missed so many good shots because of this.
Now, the Huawei P20 Pro has this new Ultra Snapshot feature that allows you to capture a photo using double-press on the volume down button to capture spontaneous moment. The best thing is that you can use it even when the phone is locked (locked-screen state) and it works super fast, as fast as 0.3s.
So this feature works as a physical shutter button for the camera, which is also very convenient because how you hold the phone when shooting in portrait orientation and second, it works even if the phone is locked.
I'm sure that with the Huawei P20 Pro I can come home with even more great pictures. It happens so many times that there is a rare moment that exists for the photographer only for a few seconds and every second counts. Some might see it as a non-useful camera feature, but I can tell you that this is an amazing feature. Just think about it, you just take the phone out of your pocket, aim and double tap to capture a shot. I wish more phones would implemented this feature.
By the way, this is not a new feature. The same Ultra-snapshot feature already existed on the Huawei Mate 9, also allowing the users to take snapshots when the device is locked.
I couldn't find a video of that for the P20 Pro, but here is the video for the Mate 9.
Overall, a great feature and advantage in favor of the P20 Pro camera.
