Very high-resolution display (FHD+) provides crisp and sharp visuals

The Redmi Note 5 comes with a very high-resolution display with 2160x1080 pixel resolution (FHD+), which translates to high pixel-density which means super crisp and sharp visuals and very readable text for any language. This is important for large displays.

Affordable phone that can run high-demanding 3D games very well

The Redmi Note 5 runs on a 14nm Snapdragon 625 processor, which can provide smooth gaming experience. If you don't want to spend a premium price for a phone, but still want one that can deliver great gaming experience with high-demanding 3D games, the Note 5 can do that.

18:9 aspect ratio wide screen

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 features a 18:9 aspect ratio, which is the news standard. It first started with high-end flagship phone and now you can found it in mid-range offerings, like the Redmi Note 5. This means better viewing experience and better fit for multi-tasking apps.

Huge full screen display

The Redmi Note 5 has a huge 5.99-inch display. The good part is that this is a full-screen display, which means that the phone's bezels are relatively small, and therefore having such a larger display doesn't lead to an enormous size. The phone is still quite small.

Available in four different colors

It's great having an option to buy a phone with your favorite color. The Redmi Note 5 comes is available in four beautiful colors: Black, Gold, Light Blue and Rose Gold; all of them look really nice, I personally liked the blue one.

Back of the phone looks outdated

The back of the Redmi Note 5 look outdated. Just look at how the Huawei Honor 9 Lite rear-side looks and you can see what I mean. The honor 9 Lite looks so much sleeker. I think that Xiaomi needs to consider changing this design in its future phones.

Runs an older OS (Android Nougat)

It's 2018, and I think it's sad seeing the Redmi Note 5 coming with an older Android OS and not the latest version which is Android 8.0 Oreo. I think it's because Xiaomi already optimized their MIUI 9 platform for Android 7, and it takes time to optimize it for a new version.

Comes with a free ultra-slim case to protect your phone

When you buy the Redmi Note 5, it already comes with a transparent slim case to help you protect your phone the moment you take it out of the box. Why not all companies do that? Thank you Xiaomi!
