No OIS for the camera

The Vivo X20 Plus UD lacks an Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) for the rear camera. I also looked at the official specs and no OIS is mentioned. This will have negative effect on the low light performance. Quite unfortunate that Vivo didn't included this feature.

Lots of built-in storage space

There is no need to worry about built-in storage space, the Vivo X20 Plus UD comes with 128GB of storage space. If this is not enough, you can always cramp in a microSD card and extend it, but this will definitely be sufficient for most people.

Plenty of RAM

The vivo X20 Plus HD comes with 4GB of RAM, plenty of RAM to support great graphics performance alongside the SD660 SoC and fluent multi-tasking performance.

Very large edge-to-edge display

The X20 Plus HD features a very large 6.43-inch display. However, the phone itself is relatively small for this screen-size, because it features an edge-to-edge display, so it's not as big as the standard smartphones that don't utilize that full-screen design.

Super AMOLED display for rich color and deep blacks

When you buy the X20 Plus UD you enjoy a Samsung's brilliant Super AMOLED display that deliver rich vibrant colors, deep blacks and also save battery life because the black is actually turned-off pixels, not lit pixels.

Vivo X20 Plus UD is the first phone in the world to have the fingerprint reader built right into the screen itself. This type of on or in-screen fingerprint reader allows phone manufacturers to create full-screen smartphone without needing to have an extended bottom bezel for it, or have it at the...

Slim and sleek design

I really like the overall design of the vivo X20 Plus UD, it's very slim 7.5mm thick and the edge-to-edge display gives it a very sleek and prestigious look.

Only available in a single color

The Vivo X20 Plus UD is only available in black color, so there is no option to choose a different color.

No water resistant

The Vivo X20 Plus UD isn't water-resistant. I mean, it doesn't carry any IP certification number. This means that unlike many other phones that are water-resistant and can be used in the rain or even dump into water, the X20 Plus UD isn't capable of this and you might damage it.

You can't use any type of screen protector

One of the disadvantages of the onscreen fingerprint reader is that you cannot use thick screen protectors as it will impair the reading capability of the sensors. However, the X20 Plus UD comes with a compatible one.

Doesn't come with Android 8.0 built-in

The Vivo X20 Plus UD doesn't come with Android 8.0, but with Android 7.1.1 Nougat. This is quite unfortunate considering its great features and of course the time it is released.

MicroSD support

The Vivo X20 Plus HD supports microSD cards up to 256GB. If you find the built-in (128GB) storage to be not enough for your needs (maybe you are shooting many videos) you can always extend it using a microSD card, nice option.
