I've just came back after looking at the portrait sample photos published by Google. The Bokeh quality of these photos is awe-inspiring. I just can't believe that a single-camera with Google's machine learning can produce such accurate results. Now, it's not perfect by any means. I was able to detect...

1.4-micron pixels for both rear and front cameras

The Google Pixel 2 comes with relatively large pixels, 1.4μm pixel size for both the front and rear facing camera. This results in better low-light performance. Google was never in the megapixel race and it's great to see that it stayed with an optimal resolution.

The Pixel 2 camera can use both OIS and EIS at the same time to really make videos more stable, this is unlike some other phones that can only use either OIS or EIS.

Front camera has a slow aperture lens

Not impressed with the front camera of the Pixel 2, it comes with a slow f/2.4 aperture lens. This means that the low-light performance would be impaired. I would have liked to see at least f/2.0 aperture, especially how important is selfies for many people nowadays.

Disappointing battery capacity

Very disappointed to see that the Google Pixel 2 comes with only 2700 mAh battery. Just in comparison, the Pixel 2 XL comes with a 3520 mAh. I will wait for phone arena battery tests, but I can't imagine we'll be getting a very good performance out of that battery.
