4-axis OIS

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 rear camera enjoys a 4-axis Optical Image Stabilization system, which helps to further improve the low-light performance and image and video stabilization of the camera.

I'm quite disappointed to see only an f2.0 aperture lens for the main/rear camera. I was expecting an improvement in that aspect. Xiaomi did use a larger 1/2.9" (compared to 1/3.06") sensor with 1.25-micron pixels (compared to 1-micron) to help improve the low-light performance and image quality of...

Lots of internal storage space

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is being offered in various mass storage capacity options: 64GB, 128GB and 256GB. So if you are among those who need more space, you know that you have the option to get this smartphone with a big storage capacity.

High amount of RAM

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is being offered in either 6GB or 8GB of RAM, which both are excellent for promoting all-around smooth multi-tasking and graphics performance. The 8GB is available in the Special Edition, the All Ceramic Edition as mentioned on the official website.

Large 5.99-inch display

One of the main benefits of owning a Mi Mix 2 is that you get to enjoy a big 5.99" display, but the phone itself is about the size of a traditional 5.5" phone. That brig display that come at the incontinence of an average phablet, which is a huge advantage.

Very slim design in light of its full-packed innovative tech

It's kind of an astonishing achievement for Xiaomi to have all those advanced technology, large battery capacity in a 7.7mm thickness phone. Some manufactures cut out on features to make their phone looks slimmer, so great job Xiaomi in that aspect.

Doesn't come with Android 8.0 Oreo

Such a premium phone, I expected it to come with the most recent Android release, 8.0 Oreo, but its MIUI 9 UI is based on Android 7 Nougat instead. I don't know if and when we are going to see this phone supporting the most recent Android OS, which kind of worries me.

Support for Bluetooth 5.0

The Mi MIx 2 has support for Bluetooth 5.0, which is the latest version of this wireless protocol, supporting faster data transfer speeds.

No microSD card slot

The Xiaomi MI Mix 2 lacks a microSD card slot, so if you want to expand over the built-in storage, you just can't and you probably need to pay a higher price for the more expensive models that come with more storage space.

The Mi MIx 2 supports Quick Charge 3.0 fast battery charging technology, so users can charge their phone faster and wait less for it to be ready to use. Great for people on the go and those who just don't have time to wait too long for the battery to charge.

Disappointing battery capacity

Disappointed to see that Xiaomi going with only 3400 mAh battery, which is 1000mAh less than the original Mi Mix.
