The Sony Xperia XZ1 comes with a 19MP 1/2.3" Exmor RS stacked sensor. Not VR friendly device

VR applications won't run great on the Xperia XZ1 due to its Full HD resolution. To really get a good VR experience we should be looking for at least 2K resolution, regardless of how good the XZ1 display quality is. It's obviously not Daydream ready due to its specs.

Ugly large bezels

While the market shifts to slim bezel design, the XZ1 comes with very large top and bottom bezels. I think that Sony should really rethink the design of its phones, there is not excuse not to follow the rest of the industry and make phones with much slimmer bezels.
